Discover more about Showers
The first thing we need to know, is what kind of heating system you have at home as this will ultimately determine what kind of shower you can have; we want to make sure we’re recommending compatible models. We have solutions for low, medium and high pressure systems, so can cater for all needs!
One of the main considerations for choosing a shower, is whether you would like an exposed (where the valve is on the surface of the wall) or concealed (where the valve is recessed and hidden in the wall) shower system. Luckily we’ve got examples of both types of shower on display in our showroom to give you inspiration and help you decide.
For exposed showers, we’ve got many thermostatic bar valves and shower kits on display, that are simplistic and elegant. The design of a thermostatic bar shower makes controlling the temperature extremely easy, so there’s no need to waste time getting the temperature just right every time you get in the shower.
If you’d like a little more luxury for your shower, how about a dual exposed shower with an overhead shower and handset. We’ve got some stunning modern dual thermostatic showers on display but if you’re looking for something more traditional, we do have a lovely example on display from Tavistock.
If you’re showering and bathing space are combined, you might want to consider a bath shower mixer. Click here for more information on bath shower mixers. However for something a little more luxury, the Grohe 3 in 1 combined bath shower system, with overhead shower, handset and bath filler is an excellent solution that gives a really indulgent showering and bathing experience that’s also super functional.
For concealed shower systems, we’ve got several different sets on display showing different designs and functions including dual and triple function shower valves. Concealed shower valves can be combined with other components such as ceiling or wall mounted shower heads, concealed shower handset kits and even overflow bath fillers, to let you create a bespoke combination for your showering space.
Concealed shower valves are now available in a selection of special finishes, including matt black or brushed brass, giving a high spec on trend finish. Crosswater and Flova have some great options for special finish shower valves. If you’re thinking of a more traditional finish for your showering space, traditional concealed shower valves and traditional shower accessories such as shower roses and handsets are also available, giving an elegant and classic touch to your bathroom. Roper Rhodes and Tavistock have some lovely traditional concealed shower options.
If you’ve got a slightly older shower valve that you’re looking to update, it might not have standard 150mm pipe centres, but we do have some shower valves with adjustable pipe centres that provide the perfect solution. Although most of our shower valves are thermostatic, we do have a selection of manual shower valves available.
Sometimes an electric shower is the best solution for your showering space. We keep a selection of Bristan electric showers in stock but can get other brands of electric shower to order, such as Vado. It’s important for us to know the maximum kW you can have for your electric shower, so make sure you’ve got this information to hand when coming in to select a new electric shower. This information will either be on your current model that you’re looking to upgrade or if this is a new install, ask your installers advice.
