Discover more about Shower Enclosures & Trays
Your shower is a busy place that gets a lot of daily use, so you want to make sure you choose just the right style of shower enclosure for your bathroom space. We’ve got a selection of different types of shower enclosures and shower doors on display in our Bristol bathroom showroom to help inspire you. As Bristol shower specialists, we can help you select just the right shower enclosure from the vast ranges and sizes available.
If you’re showering space fits into a recess, then all you need is a shower door to create the enclosure. Depending on the size of the recess, it might be a sliding shower door you need or if it’s a smaller space a bifold shower door might be the solution. Both bifold shower doors and sliding shower doors are great for bathrooms that are a little tight for space or if there’s something that might get in the way of a shower door opening outwards.
There are other options for shower doors, including hinged shower doors and pivot shower doors. All of these type of shower doors work in a recess as well as for a corner shower enclosure, all you need to do is add a shower side panel to the door to create a corner enclosure.
Some shower doors can be paired with 2 side panels, either side of the door to create a 3 sided shower enclosure that is mounted against a wall, this sometimes requires some extra bracing bars. We have a bifold shower door, a sliding shower door and a pivot door on display in our Bristol bathroom showroom, but for more ideas on shower doors check out the options from Kudos, Lakes and Q4.
A nice alternative to a rectangular enclosure for a corner, is a quadrant shower enclosure. The curved corner of a quadrant enclosure is space saving so can work well in compact bathrooms but they also look good as well as being super functional. We have the Lakes EasyFit Quadrant Enclosure on display in our showroom, which is available in a range of sizes in our quadrant package deal. As the name suggests it’s extremely straightforward to fit and is an excellent quality and highly popular enclosure.
For something a little more luxury, you might want to consider a walk-in shower. Walk-in showers work very well in modern bathrooms due to their open and minimal style but their simplicity also means they can work well with traditional style shower valves and bathrooms too. Walk-in showers are very versatile and there’s many different configurations to choose from as well as numerous sizes too, allowing you to create a bespoke showering space.
Some walk-in showers can be created using a single glass panel, so you walk in and out of the shower at one end if it’s situated in a corner or at both ends if the shower is mounted in the middle of a wall. A single panel could also be used in a recess to created a walk-in showering space. Using two panels can create a corner enclosure with an opening on the front. Depending on the size of the enclosure you’re creating, you might want to consider a deflector panel or flipper panel. These hinged panels on walk-in showers act as a deflector to help direct water back into the showering area, which helps prevent puddles on your bathroom floor.
We have a stunning Lakes walk-in shower on display in our Bristol bathroom showroom and as shower specialists, we can help you put together a quote for the perfect configuration for you and your bathroom space.
