The first thing to consider is what type of bath tap you want to go for and this will depend on how you’re planning on mounting the taps, either on the bath (deck mounted) or on the wall (wall mounted).
If it’s a pair of bath taps you’re considering (separate hot and separate cold tap), these will be deck mounted on to the bath itself. There’s lots of nice options available, including traditional bath taps and modern bath taps, catering for all styles and budgets.
As well as bath taps, you can also get deck mounted bath fillers, where the hot and cold are blended and come out of one spout. There’s also the options for deck mounted bath shower mixers, giving you a shower head attachment which can be really handy for cleaning the bath. There’s a huge range of options available, including traditional deck mounted bath shower mixers with ornate handsets and handles as well as modern deck mounted bath shower mixers with sleekly designed shower heads and controls. If it’s just a bath filler you need, there are options for traditional deck mounted bath fillers and modern deck mounted bath fillers, so you can select just the right model to suit your bath.
Not all baths come with tap holes and you might want to mount any taps on the wall, to keep the surface of the bath clear of any clutter. In this case, you’re going to want to look at wall mounted bath fillers and wall mounted bath shower mixers. There’s a great deal of choice when it comes to style, with options for both traditional and modern wall mounted bath fillers. Many traditional bath fillers come with removable legs, giving you the option of either wall mounting or deck mounting! For an ultra minimalistic look, there are options for concealed valves to control filling the bath. Concealed bath fillers use options such as concealed valves, bath overflow fillers and wall mounted bath spouts to achieve a sleek and minimal look, with finishes in both traditional and modern styles. Concealed bath controls also open up the options in terms of special finishes, with on trend matt black and brushed brass concealed valves and overflow fillers available.
You might have a stunning free standing bath, in which case a floor standing bath filler or floor standing bath shower mixer would work very well. Floor standing bath shower mixers or bath fillers, are available in both sleek contemporary designs as well as traditional designs. Some bath shower mixers and bath fillers are able to be fitted on to a pair of bath stand pipes or pipe shrouds, to give the same look as a floor standing bath filler or bath shower mixer.
