Discover more about WCs
As Bristol bathroom specialists, we know a thing or two about toilets! If you’re thinking of updating your WC, maybe as part of a full bathroom refurb or upgrading your downstairs cloakroom, come down to our Bristol bathroom showroom where we’d be happy to discuss your options.
The first thing we ask about is your soil pipe, and taking a few measurements of the soil pipe or even snapping a picture of it before you pop in and see us, can be really handy to help us pick out which toilet is going to fit best.
We’ll need to know a little bit about what sort of style of bathroom you’re planning, a classic traditional bathroom or a modern bathroom with contemporary features. Traditional bathrooms often feature old fashioned WCs such as low level toilets or high level toilets, where the cistern is affixed to the wall and connects to the pan with a chrome flush pipe. Ornate cistern brackets can add an extra touch of elegance to both high level and low level WCs.
A close coupled toilet has the cistern sitting directly on the pan and there are a wide selection of traditional close coupled toilets on offer. Although often considered a more modern option, traditional back to wall WCs with concealed cisterns are also available. Our Bristol bathroom showroom has a selection of traditional WCs on display but for a wide range of options, we suggest checking out Bayswater, Burlington and Tavistock.
If it’s a more modern bathroom you’ve got planned, our Bristol bathroom showroom is brimming with contemporary WCs. We have plenty of modern close coupled toilets to show you, with soft close toilet seats that also have quick release hinges. Many modern toilets are now available with rimless technology, to help keep cleaning to a minimum.
For a modern minimalistic look in your bathroom, a back to wall toilet or wall hung toilet can help conserve space as well as looking modern and stylish. We have several brands on display that showcase modern toilets, we recommend taking a look at the options on offer from Saneux, Tavistock, RAK Ceramics and Roca.
If you’re going for a WC that requires a concealed cistern, there are many innovative and stylish flushing options available. Push buttons for cisterns are now available in a range of shapes and finishes such as square push buttons or matt black push buttons. As well as push buttons, flush plates for concealed cisterns also come in a selection of finishes such as brushed brass with square or circular buttons. Crosswater and Tavistock have a great selection of flushing options. For an ultra modern flushing option, Tavistock also have options for contactless flushing. With a simple wave of a hand over a sensor flush plate, you can have a modern and super hygienic flushing system.
Most toilets come with soft close toilet seats nowadays as well as quick release hinges to allow for easy cleaning. Even traditional wooden toilet seats are also soft close and quick release, so you can have traditional style with the convenience of modern technology. We have a handsome Roper Rhodes traditional wooden toilet seat on display in our Bristol bathroom showroom, but for more inspiration we recommend taking a look at the options on offer from Burlington.
